Being an extrovert used to be easy, but not today. We introverts have the edge.
Are you taking what flows from your TV too seriously?
Do you have a good idea or an interesting opinion but figure no one is interested, no one cares? Well, that may be the truth of it; but if you don’t share your idea or opinion, it’s for sure that no one will be interested and no one will care. That is the focus of this over due episode of Something Worth Considering.
Usually, an episode of Something Worth Considering focuses on an issue or idea about which we may agree or disagree, but this episode shares a thought where agreement is pretty certain. Please listen and see if you also agree that today’s thought is something for all of us, a notion that we all find to be something worth considering.
I heard President Trump suggesting that the Dems are all socialists who want to turn the US into a socialist country, want to turn to socialism as the form of government. Is there any reality in this notion? Maybe yes and maybe no, so let’s think about it together. I think we can at least agree that it’s something worth considering.
I ask you now, “What’s Snickers without the SNICK?” You do know what the snick in Snickers is, don’t you? If not, this episode is not for you. But if you know about the snick in Snickers and find it crunchy and – well – snicky, press play and cry.
Most of us were told as children that we need to follow the rules and be good little boys and girls. As we got older, we were told in school that we have a government of laws and that everyone has to follow those laws. As we got older and moved into the bigger society, we started to understand that what we had been taught was mostly true but not totally true for all of us. We learned that the rules and limits that applied to most of us just didn’t apply to some of us. This was disappointing and very disillusioning. I am coming to understand that this non-application is much more built into our society than I had suspected. There are a few of us who really are above the law. You may not find this to be consistent with your experience; but I suspect we can agree that it is at least something worth considering.
Is there a secret way of handling a bad day? I’m not thinking about serious bad days. Rather, I am only thinking about regular, run-of-the-mill bad days. For those bad days, the solution is pretty simple: Suck It Up. What do you think? Is that the best and perhaps the only way to handle a bad day? I don’t know for sure; but it’s surely something worth considering.
If you want to be a writer, a podcaster or anything else that requires that you produce a product or performance, you need to think it through before you try to follow through. Just writing will never lead to being a writer. Just singing will never lead to being a musician. Just recording your voice will never lead to being a podcaster. There is always a lot more to it. One of the many keys is to carefully think it through first. Sure, you need to actually do it, but first think it through. Is that a useful tip? Maybe yes, maybe no. At least I think we can agree that it’s something worth considering.
Have you heard that a balanced life should be the goal for all of us? Well, I heard that too and am thinking that the idea is at least silly and probably not possible. So how do we make sure that all of the elements of our lives get their fair share, without neglecting any of them? I suspect you will agree that it’s something worth considering.
